Preparación

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F. Prick the puff pastry sheets all over and bake them between two sheets of parchment with another pan on top (so they don't puff too much) 20–25 minutes, until golden. Let cool and cut each into two equal rectangles.
  2. For the cream: whisk the cold milk, sugar, cornstarch, yolks and zest. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and boiling 1 minute. Add the butter and vanilla, cover with plastic touching the cream and chill.
  3. Assemble: pastry, cream, pastry, cream, pastry, cream and the last pastry.
  4. Dust generously with powdered sugar and refrigerate 2 hours. Cut with a serrated knife, without pressing.
